Glory to God, through the passion of song, resonates in “Save Me” by Katy Crawford from her new album Dwell, produced in Nashville by Billy Smiley.
In "Save Me", an ethereal sound rushes over the listener as an electric guitar softly introduces Katy's beautiful, sweet country vocals. After Katy sings the first verse, the drums, bass, and percussion gain momentum and the song blooms with the stunning nuance of euphoric sounds and vibrations.
The transitions between verses, bridge and chorus progress with robust, vibrancy and power. The production by Billy Smiley is jaw-dropping, as he seamlessly moves between the various, vibrant sounds that accompany Katy's soulful vocals.
“Save Me” is about giving praise to God and releasing the fear and obstacles that hinder us from moving forward. Katy’s message is about declaring God as our salvation. Our fears, doubts, struggles, and pains will be heard when we call on the Lord. Katy's inspiration comes from David’s Psalm 3. “But, thou O Lord art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill,” . The lyrics powerfully affirm that God sustains and protects.
“You, oh Lord, are a shield for me. My glory and lifter of my head, I cried to You and You heard my voice. Arise now and save me. Arise now and save me, oh God"
Katy Crawford is a Christian artist who has a celestial sound. Her intoxicating vocals and lively musical arrangement deliver reverence and soulfulness. "Save Me" praises and acknowledges God as the ultimate and supreme liberation from fear. Katy's divine message is inspiring and profoundly communicated through her song. Her artistry and music ingrain the trust she has in God's grace.
"Save Me" has all the elements of a timeless Christian song. It could fill a big city Cathedral or a small, country church or a quiet moment with the Lord, as it moves the heart and the soul.
